What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is an activity that affords pleasure, diversion or amusement: The ball was a great entertainment. It is often used as a synonym for recreation, but it may also refer to something that is hospitable or provides amusement, such as a show or game. It can also be a source of suspense, action or adventure. The most familiar example of entertainment is a story, such as Scheherazade from the Persian professional storytelling tradition. Such stories often inspire a retelling in another medium, such as music, film or games.
