What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is the ability to keep people occupied, amused, and interested. It can be as simple as choosing an evening’s entertainment from a now enormous choice of pre-recorded products; to catering a dinner party for two; to planning and producing performances for thousands, or even for the global audience. Entertainment has come to be associated with light-heartedness, although it can also have serious and even spiritual purpose, as in a ceremony, religious festival or satire. It is an ever-evolving art form, which has demonstrated a seemingly unlimited capacity for remix and adaptation.
